Designed by Jøergen Bækmark in 1966, the J104 is part of Hay's collection of reissued classics. This elegant chair brings together past and present.

The J104 Chair was inspired by the classic Windsor chairs of the 18th century: the delicate spindles of the backrest and the traditional wooden construction are hallmarks of Windsor chairs, which Jøergen Bækmark transformed into a timeless design. Originally manufactured by FDB, the J104 appears both delicate and sturdy thanks to its unique structure. Its minimalist design ensures that the chair remains modern to this day.

With its seat height of 44.5 cm, the J104 is ideal for use at the dining table. Thanks to its wide seat and curved backrest, the J104 Chair by Hay is unusually comfortable for a dining chair made entirely of beech wood.

The J-series chairs are suitable for private use only. Use in public spaces is not recommended.
