Description

ECONOMY SMART circuit breakers with thermomagnetic characteristics offer an economical alternative to conventional miniature circuit breakers. They ensure reliable tripping, even with high line resistances, and are ideally suited for appliance and series machine construction. The electronic circuit breaker distributes the load current across multiple branches and reliably monitors them for overload and short circuits. The electronics allow short-term current spikes, such as those caused by a high inrush current, while branches with prolonged overloads are de-energized. This is guaranteed even on high-resistance lines and in the case of creeping short circuits. The rated current for each output can be individually set using a selector switch. If the rated current is exceeded, the output is automatically switched off after a defined tripping time and can be reactivated after a short waiting period (thermal de-energization) using a push button or remote reset. The push button can also be used for manual switching of the output. A multi-colored LED indicates the output status.
