Scope of delivery

Description: BASF Ultrafuse PC/ABS FR Black flame-retardant PC/ABS is a V-0 flame-retardant blend of polycarbonate and ABS – two of the most widely used thermoplastics for technical and electrical applications. The combination of these two materials results in a premium material that combines the excellent mechanical properties of PC with the comparatively low printing temperature of ABS. Combined with a halogen-free flame retardant, parts printed with Ultrafuse PC/ABS FR exhibit high tensile and impact strength, have higher heat resistance than ABS, and can meet the requirements of the UL94 V-0 standard.

Applications for BASF Ultrafuse PC/ABS FR Filament

PC/ABS FR is primarily used for industrial components requiring flame retardancy. This is the case, for example, in the automotive and transportation industries, as well as consumer electronics. The filament is tested to flame retardancy class V0 (UL94) for printed parts with wall thicknesses of 1.5 and 3.0 mm. For electronic housing components, the material was tested according to the glow wire test (GWEPT) at 725°C for 1.5 mm wall thickness and 960°C for 3.0 mm wall thickness.
