Description

Our popular Buzzard helicopter, familiar from TV, is now available in the revised V2 version, making it even easier to get started with helicopter flying thanks to its new features. This beautiful, robust, and speed-controlled single-rotor helicopter now comes with a new, handy 2.4GHz transmitter in Mode 2 configuration (throttle on the left by default, but switchable to Mode 1), including many additional functions such as dual rate (servo travel limiting) and auto start/auto landing. This allows the model to be automatically launched with the push of a button on the transmitter, climb to a base altitude of approximately 1–1.2 meters, and hover there in a stable position. The pilot can then concentrate on essential flight characteristics such as forward/backward and left/right maneuvering. If the model drifts slightly, this can be corrected using the digital trimmers on the transmitter. Furthermore, the auto start function eliminates the "ground effect" of a helicopter, as it quickly ascends to its base altitude. Ground effect is caused by the rotors, which create turbulence beneath the helicopter, causing it to drift forward and to the left near the ground. Controlling the model at low altitudes is therefore difficult. Once the pilot has mastered the functions on the right side of the transmitter, they can focus on ascent/descent and tail rotation. These functions are located on the left stick. To land, simply press the takeoff/landing button on the front right of the transmitter, and the helicopter will glide gently to the ground and shut off the motor. Even during the final approach, the helicopter remains fully controllable, allowing the pilot to select the landing point while descending. However, landing can also be performed manually – simply push the throttle stick down and hold it until the model touches down and shuts off the motor. Manual takeoff and gyro calibration on the transmitter are also possible. A new feature is the replaceable battery, which is now supplied in a hard case with a USB charging port and power output for the helicopter. Reverse polarity is therefore no longer possible, and battery replacement is significantly easier in the V2 version. Compared to its predecessor, the model's flight stability has also been further improved.
