Details
Silver-impregnated ointment dressings made of hydrophobic polyamide mesh tulle, the fibers of which are coated with elemental silver. These dressings are microbiologically effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria upon direct contact. They are impregnated with a neutral ointment base without the addition of petrolatum or other paraffins. The dressings are exudate-permeable, exceptionally soft and easily draped, and do not stick to the wound. They remain microbiologically effective for at least 7 days. The ointment base contains: a mixture of natural, plant-based fatty acids bound as di- and triglycerides, and macrogol 2000.
