Application

Ear measurement

The measurement can be taken in either the right or left ear. The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the eardrum and ear canal. This radiation is captured by the sensor and converted into temperature readings. The best results are obtained by measuring the infrared radiation in the middle ear (eardrum). Radiation emitted by the surrounding tissue leads to lower readings.

forehead measurement

The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the skin in the forehead and temple area and the surrounding tissue. The radiation is captured by the sensor and converted into temperature readings. The most accurate readings are obtained by scanning the entire area from one temple to the other.
